Stochastic Artworks, LLC., in co-producion with Tenderheaded Films, travels across the globe documenting how black people throughout the world answer the questions of blackness with their country and ethnicity.

Simone Barros

Simone Barros graduated from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University receiving the Martin Scorsese Filmmaking Grant and Tisch Dean Craft Award.  Recently the Cleveland Public Theatre produced her play, “Fail” in the AtTenTion Span ten-minute festival of devised plays and presented a staged reading of her two-act play, “Dating Godfrey.”  

She has written for Comedy Central’s “Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn” and CBS Daytime Drama “As the World Turns.”  Her other work includes the ten-minute play, “The Forest Court” award winning short film, “Falling in the Night,” and feature screenplay, “Just Another Pop Star” workshopped with filmmaker Spike Lee.In the past eleven years Simone has worked on the production and editing staff for various films and television companies including A&E Television Networks, Comedy Central’s “Chappelle’s Show,” Spike Lee’s film “25th Hour,” VH-1’s “Say It Loud: Black Music in America,” PBS documentary, “New York: A documentary Film” and “Reading Rainbow.”

Simone was recently awarded the New York University Tisch East Alumni Council Mircogrant for her production, of the 10x10 Tisch Alumni Reading Series, presenting ten, ten-minute plays by NYU Tisch Alumni writers before an industry panel including Beach Big Films (Little Miss Sunshine), Abrams Artists Agency and the Lark Play Development Center.  Current projects include a travel documentary series exploring the dynamic ethnicities and cultures of “black” people across the globe.


Simone Barros currently teaches screenwriting, film/TV production and cinema studies at Cuyahoga Community College.

C. Wesley H. Crump is a cinematographer, photographer, and writer. He graduated from the New York Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Arts, with a focus in TV, Radio and Filmmaking. He has a supplementary certificate in Graphic Design.

Starting as a production assistant on the Public Television series "Reading Rainbow", he later moved on to work in various capacities on television commercials and promos before landing a crew position on the noted "Chappelle's Show".



Crump has written in several capacities, including as a columnist for "City News" newspaper in Cleveland, Ohio, "The C-Side Volumes 1 and 2" at Cleveland's famous Playhouse Square, and created the webseries "The Show: The Series".  He was named a semi-finalistic for the The Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller Writing program established by Bill and Camille Cosby.


Crump's photography was featured diagetically in the world premiere of the stage play "The Aperture" at Cleveland Public Theatre in 2009.

Nia Renée Hill, actress and filmmaker joins as the vibrant and inquisitive host and co-producer of All the World Over.

 

As a featured panelist on the Huffington Post Live and contributing columnist for Jane Pratt's website, xojane.com, Nia exaimes cultural issues with a humor and ease that spurs thoughtful conversation.

 

Since appearing on her fiancé, Bill Burr's 'Monday Morning Podcast' in a segment called, "The Nialogues", Nia has gained nearly 3,000 followers on Twitter or over 400 followers on Instagram. Her podcast, "Nia Please!" debuts Summer 2013.  

 

She also was a host for MishMashMagazine.com, interviewing up and coming bands. 

 

She began her artistic career in New York City starring in a number of Off Broadway productions including "For Colored Girls...", "The Vagina Monologues" and "Trojan Women: 2.0" as well as television appearances on "The Colbert Report" and "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn". Since moving to

Los Angeles, she has starred in the television pilot, "Da Network", co-starred in an episode of the Comedy Central series "Chocolate News", and has a starring role in the short film "Carpool" which was featured at the San Diego Black Film Festival.

 

Nia has starred in the web series, "Video Pal" and "Lila, Long Distance" and most recently, had a co-starring role as Regina King's sister in the ABC pilot, "Divorce: A Love Story".

 

Nia wrote, directed and starred as "Jaida" in her webseries, "LOVE+TRUST" which can be viewed on her website Tenderheadedfilms.com.
